Kuchinda: A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by four persons in Kuchinda area of Sambalpur district while she was returning home with his 13-year-old brother.
The incident took place January 15 when the 15-year-old victim girl was on her way to her house with her brother after attending Makar Mela at Torei village under Mahulapali police limits.
As many as four youths allegedly intercepted the brother-sister duo, abducted the girl and raped her in a forest. A complaint in this regard was lodged at the Mahulpali police station.
Police have detained one of the accused for questioning. Investigation into the matter is underway.
