Sambalpur: In a shameful act, a minor girl was allegedly raped by her teacher in a forest in Kuchinda area in Sambalpur district, the police said Wednesday. Police arrested the accused on the basis of the victim’s FIR.
Although the incident took place June 11, the victim lodged a complaint at Kuchinda police station July 14 after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
According to the police, the accused teacher had taken the girl to the nearby forest lying to her that there was a shooting of an album song. After reaching the forest, the accused raped the girl. He also recorded the act on his cell phone.
Notably, the accused and the victim both are actors and they were doing You Tube videos together. Based on the complaint of the survivor, the police have registered a case and launched a probe into the incident.
