Balasore: Unidentified miscreants broke open a Tata Indicash Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and looted cash at Talapada Bazaar under Soro police limits in Balasore late Sunday night.
According to reports, the matter came to light after some locals found the ATM wide open and a glass cutter lying next to it Monday morning.
Subsequently, they informed the police about the incident. On information, Gopalpur police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the case.
While the exact amount of loot is yet to be ascertained, a probe has begun in the incident and the CCTV footages at the ATM are being examined.
In December last year, miscreants had looted an unspecified amount of money from an ATM at Tala Bazaar Market Complex in Santaragadia in Balasore after breaking it open with the help of a gas-cutter late.
