Bhadrak: Three unidentified miscreants looted Rs 1.5 lakh cash from a liquor businessman after stabbing him with a sharp-edged weapon at DRDA square here in this district Tuesday night.
The injured sustained severe injuries and was placed under intense care at Bhadrak district headquarters hospital (DHH). He was identified as Dinabandhu Nayak, a resident of Bagurai area in Bhadrak district.
As per reports, the businessman was returning home after closing his foreign liquor shop when three bike-borne miscreants waylaid him and attacked with a sharp weapon.
When he fell down, the miscreants snatched the cash from him and fled the spot.
Some locals came to his rescue and admitted him to the Bhadrak district hospital.
On receiving information, the town police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.
