Bhadrak: The body of a man, who went missing Wednesday night, was fished out from Salandi river in Bhadrak Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Rout (30), a resident of Shankarpur village under Bhadrak police limits.
According to locals, Basanta had gone missing after leaving home Wednesday night when he went to catch fish but did not return.
Unable to trace him despite a frantic search, his family members informed the police and fire services officials. A team of fire brigade officials reached the spot and searched him but couldn’t find him at that place.
Some of the local villagers found his body at Salandi river Thursday morning. Basant’s family members informed the police but they were yet to reach the spot till last reports came in.
