Keonjhar: A video which showed a couple being thrashed and stripped by a group of locals went viral on social media.
According to reports, a group of locals spotted a young couple in a forest near Nuagaon village at Balada Ghati in this district a few days ago.
The mob abused and teased the couple. The situation turned ugly when the mob started stripping them, while some members shot the act in their mobile phones.
Though the couple requested to spare them, the people didn’t listen.
The boy pleaded with them not to shoot their private parts and spare the girl, but in vain.
The youths even threatened to rape the girl before leaving the place.
Though the video went viral, no police complaint has yet been registered, reports added.
