Rupsa (Balasore): The police here busted a gang of mobile thieves and arrested six persons. As many as 25 mobiles were seized from them before they were produced in court for remand.
The gang consisted of Laxmidhara Dalei and Lambodara Behera of Mirigimundi village, Bijan Kumar Mohanty and Rajesh Mishra of Hasanpur village, Gopinath Rout of Kasipadar village and Rajesh Kumar Giri of Hirapur.
Police said Ramkrushna Lenka of Bakharapad village was doing purchases in the market here, when his mobile was found stolen. Acting on his compliant, police registered a case and launched an investigation. IIC Suchandra Mahalik and his team busted the racket.
