Bhawanipatna: Senior BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Wednesday said only the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi can give a befitting reply to terrorism.

Addressing the booth level party workers of five Parliamentary constituencies — Kalahandi, Koraput, Kandhamal, Bolangir and Nabarangpur here, Adityanath  said the security of the nation is safe in the hands of  Prime Minister Narendra Modi  and appealed people to wholeheartedly  support Modi to fight against terrorism.

He said the fight against terrorism is not a fight of any individual or any single party but it is the fight of entire country against terrorism. Stating that the BJP government will never compromise with the security of the nation, Yogi appealed to people to join the Narendra Modi led BJP government to fight against terrorism.

He thanked the party workers for their performances during the last Panchayat elections in Odisha and appealed to the people, to repeat the performance during the 2019 Assembly and Parliament elections.

The party workers must ensure that the BJP government came to power both at the centre as well as in the state. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister asserted that during the last four year Modi has shown to the nation how a government runs and said the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been constantly working for the poor, farmers, and the workers.

Comparing the performance of the BJP government at Uttar Pradesh and the BJD government in Odisha, Yogi said while the BJD government has constructed 17 lakh houses during its 19 years rule, the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has constructed 20 lakh houses during the last two years.

Taking potshots at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for taking the credit of providing rice at Rs 1 per kg, he said while the central government is providing Rs 29 the state government is giving only Rs 1 and taking the full credit.

He also criticised the KALIA scheme launched by the Odisha government for the farmers saying the scheme is riddled with corruption right from the beginning.

On the other hand, Yogi said the PM-Kissan scheme launched by Prime Minister which promises an assured income of Rs 6000 annually for farmers, is much better than the KALIA scheme.

Yogi said if BJP came to power both in Odisha and at the Centre developments would be rapidly achieved. The UP Chief Minister also came down heavily on his Odisha counterparts for not implementing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana which would have benefited the people of the state.

He asked the party workers to strengthen the booth committees to ensure that Narendra Modi is elected Prime Minister again to realize the vision of new India and the BJP came to power in Odisha.

The people of Odisha should set an example by electing the highest number of BJP candidate to the Lok Sabha from the state in the election, he said.
