Puri: Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani Monday afternoon visited the Jagannath temple here and had darshan of the deities.
Ambani reached the temple at 3.30 pm and had a darshan of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra from near Bhitara Katha. He also offered his daughter’s wedding invitation card to the deities.
After darshan, he came out of the temple through ‘Beharan dwar’ and before leaving the temple had a darshan of goddess Laxmi.
He was welcomed by the Collector and the superintendent of police (SP) at ‘Singha dwar’. The temple administration gave him ‘Khandua patta’, dry prashad and a portrait of the trinity as gift.
His family priest Raghunath Gosikar was present with him during his darshan. He also put his signature on his family priest’s visitor notebook.
Later, while talking to media perons, Ambani said he was exhilarated after the darshan.
