Bhadrak: Mutilated body of a youth was recovered from a drain near Balipokhari Bazar in Bhadrak district Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Murali Jena, a resident of Agarpada area in the district.
The body was spotted by locals who immediately alerted the police.
The police, who rushed to the spot for investigations said that prime-facie evidence indicates murder as there were multiple injury marks on the body.
Meanwhile, the locals allege that he was hacked to death over an old rivalry and later dumped at this place.
The body has been for autopsy to carry out further investigation.
