Megha Aryan
Pooja Mohapatra is a well known dancer and choreographer from Bhubaneswar. She is ‘master’ Pooja to her Indian and foreign students whom she trains in Odissi and western dance. She has also coached many artistes from the Oriya film and TV industries. Due to her packed work schedule, she has split her Sundays to carve out time for both family and dance classes.
Kiddo classes
On Sundays there is a special class where kids below 10 are trained in my dance academy. It is more of a fun class than dance training. It is funny to observe the tiny tots twitching their limbs into strange postures. Unlike adults, they not only imitate my body movements but also discover their own dancing steps.
Daughter’s wish
My three-year-old daughter, Titly, eagerly waits for my weekly off day because on this day she hands over her wish list to me. Mostly it is an ice-cream or new dress. I get maximum time to spend with my daughter. I love the moment, as she narrates funny incidents.
Beach frolic
A few Sundays are reserved for the beaches. I, along with my better half and my daughter, love to spend some time on Puri beach where I get a chance to appreciate the nature’s beauty. I thank the Almighty for His creations.
