Shambhunath Khuntia, a servitor of Lord Jagannath, has been offered the lead role in a Hollywood movie to be made by filmmaker Sunil Babbar of “Ants” sharing screen with Italian-American singer Nadia Lanfranconi and Jeremy Marr Williams. The movie will be made in three languages – English, Italian and Hindi. The servitor has acted in more than 200 theatre plays and noted Oriya movies like Oriya Pua, Jay Jagannath and Abhimanyu.
Family Time
I love spending a lot of time with my family and if possible make an outing. I try to dedicate the day to my family and I try dining together. Sometimes I take them out for dinner or lunch to a restaurant. I love eating food cooked at home. My all time favourite is “Kheera”. There are several other dishes which I relish too.
With Friends in the Sea
I love spending hours in the sea and beaches. Every Sunday, I make sure I go to the sea with my friends from where I can see the Neela Chakra and the Paitita Pavana clerarly. We use tubes to swim at least three kilometers into the sea. Sea and the beach is my home. Going deep into the waters rejuvenates me.
Enhancing Skills
I am very passionate about acting. I use the Sunday to enhance my acting skills. Every Sunday I go to Bhubunaeswar to participate in rehearsals with the state’s oldest theatre group Annapurna. Spending time in the theatre helps me enhance my acting skills.
Writing Script
I am also writing a script for a Hindi movie. I always wanted to be part of the Oriya movie and serial industry but none here recognised my acting skills. On Sundays I give time to writing stories and try giving maximum time to the script I am working on right now.
