Cuttack, June 9: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to visit the Millennium City June 10 for launching of several developmental projects.
Sources said the Chief Minister would dedicate a works department road connecting Sector 2 and Sector 10 of CDA to the public at 4.50pm. He is scheduled to lay foundation stones for a community health centre (CHC) at Sector 7 and the second campus of Ravenshaw University at Sector 13.
The demand for a new campus of the varsity was first raised by professors and students after new self-financing courses were introduced. However, no decision was taken on this for eight years. At the convocation ceremony held recently, higher education minister Pradeep Panigrahy declared that Rs 30 crore had been sanctioned for the establishment of the new campus. Patnaik will inaugurate a training centre of employment, technical education and training (ETET) department at Cantonment Road and a dental ward building at SCB.
