Odagaon: A forty two-year-old man was seriously hurt in stoning by his nephew over money matters Sunday at Jaringi Kalyani Nagar under this police limits in the district. Family members admitted the victim Binod Barad.
The victim’s nephew was 33-year-old Kabiraj Pradhan.
Pradhan had borrowed a lakh from Barad for some work December 12, 2012. However, he did not return the money so far. When Barad asked Pradhan for the cash, the nephew got angry and attacked him, locals said.
“He took a stone and pelted it at Barad, critically injuring him in his head. Luckily, locals came to Barad’s rescue and took him to the local hospital. Odagaon IIC Anil Kumar Pradhan said no complaint came to the police.
