Bolangir: Two newborn baby girls, twins, were found abandoned inside a toilet at the railway station here in the wee hours Sunday . The babies, looked like two-months-old, were found inside a bag. A passenger chanced upon them inside the toilet and informed railway officials.
“The condition of one child was critical,” said Kapileswar, the passenger who spotted the babies. Childline staff rescued the babies and admitted them to a hospital. “The condition of both the babies is stable,” said Dr. Surjit Nayak of Bolangir district hospital.
In another incident two months ago, a newborn baby girl was rescued by police near Siliamunda village at Pallahara in Angul district.
