Bhubaneswar: A four-member delegation from the Nigerian government reached here Thursday on a two-day visit to a private maritime training institute to review its infrastructure facilities for the training of Nigerian cadets.
The delegation received a warm welcome from the maritime cadets of the institute at the airport. They were escorted to the institute where they reviewed its infrastructure.
They deliberated on the possibility of sending Nigerian candidates to the institute. According to sources, an MoU for the training programme is likely to be signed if the administration is satisfied with the proposal.
“The delegation will take a stock of the situation in the next two days. An MoU to induct Nigerian candidates into the training program will be signed if the infra facility is found to be adequate.
