Nod to Rs 2,780.10 crore investment proposals

Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), headed by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Friday approved 14 industrial investment proposals worth Rs 2,780.10 crore with a potential to generate 14,104 employment opportunities.

The SLSWCA approved the proposal of Haldiram Snacks Food Private Limited to establish a snacks and baked products manufacturing unit with an investment of Rs 500 crore and potential to generate 800 employment opportunities in Khordha/Kataka.

Sahana Clothing Company Private Limited’s proposal for a readymade garment manufacturing unit for knitted baby and kids wear in Dhenkanal also got the approval. With an investment of Rs 251.45 crore, the project is expected to generate 5,104 employment opportunities. Similarly, Prasol Chemicals Limited will establish a phosphorus-based derivatives manufacturing plant in Ganjam with an investment of Rs 450 crore, generating 458 employment op portunities.

Syrma SGS Technology Limited will establish a manufacturing facility for printed circuit board assemblies and box build in Khordha with an investment of Rs 300 crore, generating 500 employment opportunities.

Among other proposals, the SLSWCA also gave its go-ahead to Mahatripura Sundari Minerals & Metals Private Limited for an integrated complex for ferro alloys, chrome derivatives, metals recovery and chrome ore beneficiation in Keonjhar. With an investment of Rs 160 crore, the project is expected to generate 1,460 employment opportunities.
