Bhubaneswar, Feb 27: With a view to ensuring smooth conduct of Plus II examinations, the state government has directed heads of examination centres across the state to appoint centre superintendents and deputy superintendents with utmost care and caution.
The government has instructed the officials to verify whether a son or daughter or husband or wife or a relative of the superintendent is taking the examination commencing March 2 and ending March 24. A person cannot be appointed as superintendent or deputy superintendent if any of his/her relatives are taking the exam.
Moreover, teachers who were debarred by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) shall not act as centre superintendents. Head of institutions are authorised to appoint next senior-most teaching personnel of the college or higher secondary school on the basis of number of examinees at the centre.
The deputy superintendent will also be appointed on the basis of number of students taking the examination. However, the norm can be relaxed as the appointment of one deputy superintendent is necessary for each centre irrespective of the number of candidates.
The centre superintendents have further been directed to instruct the candidates to write their roll numbers in the space provided on the front page of the question paper and mention the set of question on the answer script.
The examinees of the same college should not be allotted separate seats or rooms. They would be allotted seats along with the examinees of the main centre.
Teachers of the colleges should accompany their students to the examination centre for identification at the time of checking at the entrance.
