Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Tuesday announced that Odia will be made compulsory in all schools across the state.
The announcement was made at the concluding ceremony of ‘Odia Paksha’.

The Chief Minister said the mandate will be implemented across all educational institutions. He also said over 18,000 copies of ‘Odia Barnabodha’ and ‘Shishu Lekha Pustak’ will be distributed among students to strengthen their connection with the language and its cultural roots.
