Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLS WCA), headed by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Tuesday approved 19 industrial projects across key sectors with a combined investment of Rs 3,280.58 crore and the potential to generate 10,661 jobs.
Indian Oil Corporation will invest Rs 960 crore to establish Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) facilities with a combined capacity of 39,600 tonnes per annum across Baleshwar, Balangir, Baragada, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj and Subarnapur, generating 760 jobs. Kineta Global will invest another Rs 170 crore in an 8,250-tonnes per annum CBG facility in Ganjam. Dollar Industries will invest Rs 125 crore in an integrated hosiery manufacturing unit in Khordha, creating 1,185 jobs, while Sai Workwear will invest Rs 59 crore in a technical textiles unit in Puri, with an employment potential of 3,650. SPS Arihant Steel Structures, Steeledge Fabrication and Bhubaneswar Udyog will invest Rs 350.81 crore in projects in Debagada, Sundaragada and Kataka, together generating about 1,100 jobs. Tata Power will establish a Global Capability Centre in Khordha with an investment of Rs 54.31 crore and an employment potential of 110.
Five tourism projects have also been cleared in Ganjam, Puri, Jharsuguda and Koraput, including five-star properties and four-star resorts. Other approved projects include food processing units in Khordha and Kataka, chemical manufacturing facilities in Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur, an iron and steel slag processing unit in Anugola, and a Rs 401.63-crore plastics manufacturing facility in Khordha. The Chief Secretary said the approvals reflected the diversification of Odisha’s investment landscape, with an emphasis on value addition, supply-chain development and employment generation across regions.
