Bhubaneswar: District education officers (DEOs) and Block education officers (BEOs) were Monday asked by the Directorate of Elementary Education to submit their action taken report against fake teachers within 15 days through a letter.
The letter read, “In many cases, the concerned certificate issuing authority has confirmed that the certificate is fake and not issued by them. Even in such confirmed cases, no action has been taken by the BEOs. (sic)”
In response to the letter, DEOs of Koraput and Ganjam have written that their process of eradicating fake teachers from the system is underway.
Meanwhile, the president of the Utkal Parents’ Association, Purna Chandra Pati alleged that the DEOs and BEOs are not taking action against the fake teachers as they are working with the fraudsters.
