Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Monday reiterated his commitment to resolving issues during the 14th session of his public hearing programme.
The session, attended by several ministers and senior officials, saw appeals from citizens across the state.
Among them was an elderly man, Jagabandhu Panda, who expressed distress over long-pending issues. Majhi urged him to remain patient and assured that his concerns would be examined.
“If your grievances are genuine, they will be addressed. I am here for the people,” the CM said, adding that grievances should be presented without references to extreme actions.

Panda later told reporters that he has been working as a temporary employee with the Public Works Department since 1993, earning Rs 6,000 a month, and is struggling to care for his ailing wife and physically challenged son. He said the Chief Minister assured him that his case would receive due consideration.
State Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan also appealed to people to seek legal and administrative remedies instead of resorting to self-harm, noting that the government’s grievance redressal channels are open to all.
The public hearing initiative, officials said, is aimed at directly connecting citizens with the state leadership to ensure timely resolution of complaints.
