Bhubaneswar: With the heatwave intensifying across Odisha, the government has declared early summer vacation for schools. Prioritising student safety, authorities have decided to shut all schools from April 27. The move follows approval of a proposal by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on a recommendation from the School and Mass Education Department.
The decision applies to all government, government-aided and private schools across the state. However, scheduled examinations, census-related duties and other official work will continue without disruption.
