Bhubaneswar: Odisha government Sunday gave additional charge of ADG Prisons and Director, Correctional Services to senior IPS officer Santosh Bala.
As per a notification issued by the Home Department, Bala, the Director of the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), Bhubaneswar, has been allowed to retain the additional charge of ADG Prisons and Director, Correctional Services, following the transfer of Susanta Kumar Nath as OSD (Officer on Special Duty) in the Home Department.
The additional charge as ADG Prisons has been removed from state Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur, while Rajesh Kumar, ADG, State Armed Police (SAP), has been allowed to remain the additional charge of Special Secretary, Home Department.
Sarah Sharma, who recently returned from Central deputation, has been posted as DIG, Vigilance, the notification said.
Jharsuguda SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra and Nuapada SP Amritpal Singh have been transferred to State Police Headquarters, Kataka, it said.
Sonali Singh Parmar, additional SP, Khordha, has been posted as SP, Jharsuguda, while Tapan Narayana Rath, an OPS officer, will replace Singh, as per the order.
