Bhubaneswar: Odisha government Wednesday hiked the compassionate assistance for government employees in the event of death while on duty from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
The government also increased the assistance from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh for employees permanently disabled due to injury suffered while on duty.
Similarly, the assistance is increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh for employees partially disabled due to injuries suffered while on duty.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal in this regard Wednesday, a source in Chief Minister’s office here said.
