Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) has postponed the written examination for CPSE-2024, which was earlier scheduled for October 5 and 6, 2025. The decision was taken due to “unforeseen developments,” the board announced in a press note Tuesday.
A new date for the examination will be announced later, the statement added.

This is the third time that the OPRB has postponed the examination.
While the OPRB was tight-lipped over the reason behind the postponements, sources said the decision was taken after irregularities were detected.

According to a source, police Tuesday intercepted buses carrying more than 150 candidates who were reportedly headed to Hyderabad for “special coaching” linked to the sub-inspector recruitment examination. Investigating agencies are expected to look into the matter.
The OPRB had earlier set up a helpline to ensure transparency in the examination and cautioned that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in bribery.
