Sonepur: The Odisha Police Sunday arrested two persons and seized 3,750 cough syrup bottles worth around Rs 20 lakh from their possession in Sonepur district, officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted a van in Sonepur town and seized the cough syrup bottles hidden beneath soft drink bottles, SP Narayan Nayak said.
The cough syrup bottles were found in 150 concealed compartments in the vehicle, he said.
