Odisha reports 1,264 new COVID-19 cases, total reaches 21,099

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Thursday reported 1,264 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally in the state to 21,099.

The Health and Family Welfare Department also reported six additional deaths in the state due to COVID-19, taking the death toll to 114.

Out of the 1,264 new cases, 847 were reported from quarantine centres while 417 are local contacts.

District wise breakdown: Angul reported seven new cases, Balasore nine, Bargarh 24, Bhadrak 30, Balangir one, Boudh two, Cuttack 47, Dhenkanal six, Gajapati 74, Ganjam 540, Jagatsinghpur four, Jajpur 17, Jharsuguda three, Kalahandi seven, Kandhamal 29, Kendrapada eight, Keonjhar 25, Khurda 137, Koraput 27, Mayurbhanj 15, Nabarangpur four, Nayagarh 61, Nuapada one, Puri 22, Rayagada 84, Sambalpur 20 and Sundargarh 60.

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 7,205.
