Bhubaneswar: Following the success of the first edition of Odisha Startup Summit 2017, the second edition of summit will be held from January 11, the organising committee said. The venue of the event is yet to be decided.
A total of 2000 participants are expected to attend the two-day event.
“The success of the first edition has encouraged us to plan for the second edition. The venue for the summit is yet to be finalised,” Sakyasingha Mahapatra, convener, Odisha Startup Summit Organising Committee, and founder of Sakrobotix Lab said.
The committee has invited the country’s leading investors, incubators, venture capital firms and mentors among others to participate in the event.
“Odisha needs a holistic ecosystem for startups and awareness campaign among prospective entrepreneurs. Startup Odisha aims to achieve it through such an event,” Abanis Nayak, co-convenor, organising committee, and founder of Zamura Software solutions, said.
He said the organisers are also planning a campaign to intensify the moral of startup in every district so as to educate entrepreneurs about the support offered by the government for startups.
“With the support of Startup India, the 2nd edition of Odisha Startup Summit will be the most comprehensive event for startups and much needed event for the aspiring and budding entrepreneurs,” Subhashree Swain, co-convenor, said.
She said registration has already been started and will continue till the opening day of the event. (PNN)
