Boudh: STF of Odisha Police arrested a drug peddler Tuesday and recovered 143 kilograms of ganja and other incriminating materials from his possession, an STF source said.
The source added that on the basis of an intelligence input, a raid was conducted by a team of STF with the help of Boudh police near Kalakhandi village under Purunakatak police limits in Boudh district.
During the raid, Parikhita Behera involved in the illegal trade of narcotic drugs was apprehended. During the search operation, ganja weighing more than 143 kilograms and other incriminating materials were recovered and seized from his possession, the source said.
The accused person could not produce any valid authority in support of the possession of such contraband materials, for which he has been detained and will be forwarded to the District and Sessions Judge and the Spl. Judge, Boudh district.
