Odisha weather: Light rain likely over these districts; mercury to touch 36 mark in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Tuesday forecast that light rain is likely to occur in many districts of Odisha.

With a mainly clear sky, the maximum temperature in Bhubaneswar over the next 24 hours is very likely to be around 36 degree Celsius, the weather agency informed in its mid-day bulletin. In the same period, the minimum temperature is very likely to be around 23 degree Celsius in the state capital.

Upto 8:30am of February 22: According to the weather agency, dry weather is likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

From 8:30am of February 22 to 8:30am of February 23: IMD stated that light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak districts. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of the state.

From 8:30am of February 23 to 8:30am of February 24: The weather agency informed that light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Boudh and Puri. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of the state.

The weather agency forecast no change in maximum temperature (day temperature) over the next four to five days.

Over the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 36.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Bhawanipatna and Titilagarh while the lowest minimum temperature of 15.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.
