Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather report of July 17 informed that a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal within 48 hours.
The weather agency issued a Yellow Warning for heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha.
Upto 8.30 AM of July 18: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Bolangir districts.
The weather agency further said that heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Boudh, Subarnapur, Angul, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of interior Odisha and at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha.
From 8.30 AM of July 18 to 8.30 AM of July 19: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Puri districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of south interior Odisha and at many places over the remaining districts of the state.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 33 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 32.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Paralakhemundi while the lowest minimum temperature of 18.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Boudh, the weather report of July 17 informed.
