Dhenkanal: One man was killed and another seriously injured in two different elephant attacks in two villages under Hindol range in this district Thursday morning.
In the first incident, a jumbo killed Prasanna Behera when he was on his way to relieve himself in Tentulusingha village.
The injured one has been identified as Suresh Chandra Pal from Kalinga village. He was also injured in the attack when he went out to attend the call of nature. He has been admitted to a Bhubaneswar-based private hospital.
Meanwhile, a team of forest department officials reached the villages and kept a vigil on the movement of elephants, reports said.
