Keonjhar: Tightening its grip in the viral video case where obscene images of a female candidate were used, police arrested one more accused in this connection.
As of now three persons have been arrested in this case.
While addressing the media, SDPO Prakash James and DSP Suresh Patra said that cops are constantly monitoring social media to nab the others who are accused in the case.
According to officials, a man hunt is underway to nab the nine other accused.
Acting on the complaint of the victim’s uncle, Keonjhar police arrested a member of (BJP) Keonjhar district unit named Jayadev Giri and his aid associate Bisnudutta Barik.
The police said that Jayadev and Bisnudutta had posted the video and photographs on social media which went viral later.
Meanwhile, political analysts believe that opposition parties have done this to demean the candidate keeping the upcoming elections in Keonjhar district April 23 in mind.
