Ghasipura: Based on satellite information, a survey team of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has camped in Anandapur of Keonjhar district to trace natural oil in the region.
While the survey, a joint effort of the state and the Centre, is being conducted in six districts – Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj – the team has been on a hunt in Fakirpur of Anandapur municipality for the last one week, it was learnt.
According to sources, the team has drilled the ground up to 120 feet at several places. Liquid gel is used to detonate blasts at previously demarcated locations.
Though locals are in panic over the vibration felt in their houses, blasting shooter YN Singh said the explosions won’t harm lives or properties. PNN
