Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Monday began the online booking process for Kalyan Mandaps under its jurisdiction.
BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhury said, “The Kalyan Mandaps will start operating with strict adherence to the Government’s COVID-19 guidelines.”
Chaudhury further directed the denizens of the city not to violate any COVID-19 guidelines as the BMC squads will ensure strict vigilance to check whether social distancing is followed or not at the venues.
Notably, announcing Unlock 6.0 guidelines October 31 the Odisha government said marriage related gatherings will be allowed with a maximum ceiling of 200 persons and funeral related gatherings with a maximum ceiling of 50 persons.
However, in case of closed space, a maximum of 50 per cent of the hall capacity will be allowed subject to the aforementioned ceiling. In open spaces, keeping the size of the ground or space, appropriate number of people will be allowed.
