Online tickets sell starts Jan 2

Cuttack: Online tickets sell for the second ODI match between India and England to be played at the Barabati Stadium here January 19 will be available online from January 2, informed Orissa Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera in a press conference at the OCA conference hall here Saturday.
“The capacity of Barabati Stadium has been reduced to 43,828 and every seat will have a specific number. Twenty per cent of the 32,403 tickets available for public would be sold online from January 2 to 15. Cricket fans wishing to avail tickets from counters worth over `2,000 would have to pay in cheques and bank drafts,” Behera informed.
The price of the tickets for galleries number one and three will be `600, while the prices for galleries number two and four are fixed at `500 each. Galleries number six and seven prices will be `400 each. Similarly, the prices of tickets for special enclosures will be `3000. A ticket at AC box in gallery four and new pavilion will cost `5000 each. A ticket in the corporate box will cost `8,000.
“The stadium this time would have 14 gates to facilitate the entry and exist of the crowd. Keeping in view the safety of players, the spectators are not allowed to carry water bottles, water pouches, transistors, mirrors, crackers, glass and helmets to the galleries,” Behera informed.
There have been elaborate security arrangements. “As many as 64 CCTV cameras, four high-powered movable CCTV cameras will be installed inside the stadium,” he concluded.
