For child artiste Reet the experience of working in Bachche Kachche Sachche – slated to release June 2 – was amazing
Known for his brilliant performances in movies like Dream Girl, Prem Rogi, Deewana, Mu Kana Ete Kharap, Thookul, Chota Don, Idiot, Loafer and serials like ‘Abhujha-E-Mana’, child artiste Lohitakshya Pattnaik, aka Reet, is all set to make his debut in the Hindi film industry with the release of Bachche Kachche Sachche, June 2. Ahead of the release of the movie in which social activist Anna Hazare will be seen playing a cameo role, Orissa POST talks to Reet about his excitement and experience of sharing screen space with Hazare and popular actors like Mukesh Tiwari and Ashish Vidayarthi.
Recipient of many awards including Tarang TV’s Best Odia Child Artist Award 2013, Best ETV Odia Child Artist 2010, and Chalchitra Jagat and Film Fare Awards in 2013, Reet says: “I am playing the character of Saket in the movie. The film revolves around a group of kids who are confused with society’s established rules. The kids not just question social norms but end up protesting against the entire system of education. Soon the city joins them in their unique protest and life takes an interesting turn after the children meet social activist Anna Hazare who appreciates their efforts and urges people to follow them.”
“I am really lucky to have worked with renowned actors, Mukesh and Asish, apart from Hazareji. The movie shows that children have a role in reforming society. In the movie I am a person who believes that the right course is always right. No one dares challenge me. Along comes a village lad Ganesh who teaches moral values to me and my friends. The film will take the audience back to their schooldays and is a lesson in morality,” says Reet.
The film, directed by Ravi Sadasiv, stars child artistes Aryan Kataria, Bhavesh Babani and Chirag Bolakani. The two-hour feature film’s music has been scored by Ravi Shankar of Sarkar 3 fame. Popular vocalists Javed Ali and Md Irfan have sung the playback numbers.
