Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has extended the validity of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) qualifying certificate for lifetime, informed an official source.
The validity of OTET qualifying certificate previously was of seven years.
This implies that once a candidate gets the OTET qualifying certificate, he/she does not have to reappear for it and can participate in examinations related to elementary school teacher recruitment.
“The candidates once qualified in OTET will be now eligible to appear in recruitments to be held in future for engagement of teachers in the elementary cadre,” tweeted CMO.
OTET is a state-level test for candidates interested in elementary-level teaching profession.
According to a source, the OTET 2023 application forms are expected to be released in the month of July 2023 on the official BSE Odisha website.
