Bhubaneswar: The Centre for Tropical Mushroom Research & Training, in collaboration with the All India Coordinated Research Project on Mushroom, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), organised a five-day skill training programme on mushroom production at the university premises.
Arabinda Dhal, Officer-in-Charge of the Centre, along with mushroom scientists Anita Priyadarsini and N Chinara, trained participants on various aspects of cultivation, processing, and marketing of paddy straw, oyster, and milk mushrooms.
Thirty farmers and farm women from different districts took part in the training.
On the closing day, Dean of the College of Agriculture, OUAT, BK Mohapatra, attended as the chief guest and encouraged participants to take up mushroom cultivation as a profitable enterprise.
He also distributed certificates to the successful trainees.
