BHUBANESWAR: Project Udaan, an initiative by Adani Foundation, has benefited around 1.5 lakh students covering 1,600 schools and colleges across India.
The project is aimed at inspiring youth to dream big. It is also an attempt to inculcate entrepreneurial spirit in their lives. It is inspired by the life-changing story of Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group. As a child, Adani had visited the Kandla Port in Gujarat, and when he saw the expanse of the port, he dreamt of having a port of his own one day.
Under this project, one-day trips are organised for students to acquire proper understanding in a variety of fields. In the trip, students from 10th to 12th standards are given a chance to visit Adani Port, Adani Power and Adani Wilmar facilities at the Mundra site and gain insights into the large-scale business activities carried out there.
The main purpose behind organising exposure trips is to encourage young minds of today to develop an interest in all sorts of enterprises and to encourage them to dream big in life, so that they improve their lifestyle and think for a better future.
The project covers students and youth in five states across the country and has reached out to 3, 00, 063 students and youth through 4143 exposure trips. The initiatives has made a difference to over 1 million people, 5 lakh families and 1,470 villages and towns in 13 states.
Equipped with state-of-the art infrastructure, excellent faculty and facilities at par with the best schools in the country, these schools are providing education to more than 2,000 children. They are not just provided with free education here, but also free transport, books, uniform and three nutritious meals to ensure their holistic development.
