Bhubaneswar: Frontline comedian in Ollywood, Tatwa Prakash Satapathy alias Papu Pom Pom, would be flown to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, for treatment Tuesday .
His health condition has deteriorated, doctors said.
The popular actor was under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private medical college and hospital here for a pancreas-related ailment. The ailing actor will be shifted to Delhi in an air ambulance, sources said.
The actor was shooting for the upcoming Odia movie ‘4 Idiots’ when he took ill in Thailand. The shooting schedule was cancelled and he was rushed to Bhubaneswar for medical consultation. Doctors advised him hospitalisation.
Since Friday night, he was under treatment here.
Hailing from Kaptipada in Mayurbhanj district, the actor spent over a decade in the cinema and television industry. In his sterling career, he acted in around 15 movies. Aside of this successful run, he had unsuccessfully contested from Champua segment in the last assembly elections.
