Bhubaneswar: Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar Thursday issued a moderate thunderstorm and rainfall warning in as many as seven districts of the state.
Thunderstorm and lightning is likely to occur in districts including Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj and Nayagarh districts between 11:30am to2:30 pm. Light to moderate rainfall is also likely in one or two places of these districts, read the latest IMD bulletin.
People of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj and Nayagarh are asked to be alert till 2:30pm.
People in these districts are advised to stay indoors and take shelter in buildings and other safe locations as a precautionary measure, the centre notified.
