Bhubaneswar: Khandagiri police has arrested nine juvenile miscreants who were allegedly involved in the murder of Shiva Shankar Goud, 20.
The incident took place, March 2 evening near the Baramunda bus terminus. Police had then said that dispute over eve-teasing between two groups was considered to be the motive behind the murder. The youngsters had attacked Shiva and his friend Lingaraj Reddy. The latter was the original target of the alleged miscreants, but managed to give them the slip. In the process, however, Shiva was badly beaten up and hit with sharp weapons which led to his death.
Police had then detailed Reddy and elicited details from him. Reddy managed to identify some of the miscreants which led to the arrest of the nine, Tuesday.
