All of us have heard of the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words.” So true! Photography can convey ideas in a very artistic way. But that can’t be the reason why everyone is suffering from photo mania in the modern age. Posing is not a new or rarely used word. From the Victorian era it has been widely popular and applied in proper contexts. Taking photos was a way to keep memories alive. In the age of social media we see profile photos which are almost all posed and we love to, either with friends or alone, pose with varied expressions in front of the lens.
Posing is no longer limited to photography or the passion for it, rather it is now almost always done, mostly by youngsters, to want to show off their coolness quotient on Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter and other sharing sites. On social media sites people post funny selfies, groupies crazy shots that net all likes because of being crazy and off the roof.

The most interesting thing is teenagers make faces like a message chat symbols – sometimes emotional, often confused, and at other times simply overjoyed. Photos are shared with friends, relatives, cousins, granny, grandpa and colleagues. They may be edited by high definition camera or collaged by downloading different apps.
Everybody these days is ready to pose for an elegant and interesting snap. Actually we pose the way we want to be seen by others – lovely and unique. Beauty doesn’t consist in a fair skin; it is how we project ourselves to the world.
Anyone can take a picture but the passionate person sees the picture before it’s taken. Moments are fleeting, time passes quickly.
