Komna: Jyotijaya Patra, a poverty-stricken girl from Mahulbhata village under Komna block in Nuapada district has appealed to the State Government seeking financial help which will help pursue her educational aspirations.
Jyotijaya lives with her mother and brother as her father passed away six years back. She has been successful in her plus-2 exams and now wants to study further, but has no means to do that.
Jyotijaya’s mother gets a pension of Rs 500 per month and 35kg of rice under various government schemes. However, she has to work as a daily labourer as that is not enough to make both ends meet. She does not however, have the earnings to help Jyotijaya pursue her education dreams.
Not knowing what to do, Jyotijaya, through the media has appealed for assistance from the state so that she can continue with her studies.
