Lathor: Kalia Suna, a poverty stricken man from Lathor area under Khaprakhol block of Bolangir district has appealed the government for financial help to cover his medical expenses.
He has been suffering from an unidentified disease that has led to swollen legs. The sole breadwinner of a family of four, he has not been able to work owing to his medical condition.
He has received a pucca house and gets 10 kilograms of BPL rice every month under government schemes. However, this is not sufficient for him to see him through the day. To add to his woes, he has already borrowed Rs 3000 for his treatment – which is quite a big sum for him.
The treatment, meanwhile, requires far more. Unable to pay for his medical bills and unable to work in order to raise the money, he has appealed the government for financial help.
