Pragyan, Madhuri hit centuries

madhuri mehtaBhubaneswar, March 16: Pragyan Paramita Mohanty and Madhuri Mehta hit centuries to help Bhubaneswar and Bolangir win their respective matches of the OCA Inter-District Women’s cricket tournament at different grounds in Cuttack, Monday.
At the Ravenshaw Ground-I, Bhubaneswar registered a convincing 128 runs victory over Dhenkanal. Opting to bat first, Bhubaneswar scored of 304 for the loss of four wickets riding on scintillating knocks from Pragyan (139) and Priyanka Priyadarshini Sahu (96). In reply, Dhenkanal could manage only 176 runs as Sujata Mallick (4/35)
bowled well.
At the Bidanasi Ground, riding on an all-round performance by Madhuri (115 runs, three wickets) Bolangir beat KIIT by 32 runs. Chasing a victory target of 218 runs, KIIT were bundled out for 185 as Kadambini Mahakud’s (84) effort went in vain. But it was a tight contest between the sides.

(At SCB Ground): Cuttack 253/5 (Lima Mishra 48, Suvalaxmi Rout 48) beat Kendrapara 25 (Banalata Mallick 4/9) by 228 runs.
