Balasore: Vigilance sleuths Saturday conducted simultaneous raids on several properties related to a teacher in Kanchanbag Primary School of Balasore district.
The agency had received complaints against the teacher for amassing assets disproportionate to her known sources of income.
The accused has been identified as Manjushree Nayak, a teacher in Kanchanbag Primary School under Balasore Municipal Corporation in the district.
Acting on a tip-off, vigilance officers conducted simultaneous raids at five places. They raided her four-storied house near town police station. Other places that were raided include her in-laws house at Badakia village, prawn farm near Gudupai, paternal home at Suthanga village under Khantapada police station and nephew’ house at Angaragadia under Shilpachala police station.
The raiding team has seized many incriminating materials and large quantity of jewellery worth crore of rupees from these places, said a source.
