Bhubaneswar: Enforcement of Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) checks will be intensified across Odisha from Thursday.
The relaxation granted for PUCC verification ended April 1. From April 2, vehicles without a valid pollution certificate face fines of up to Rs 10,000.
Around 1.8 million vehicles in the state are yet to obtain a valid PUCC, according to reports.

Fuel stations have been directed to supply fuel only after verifying valid pollution certificates, reports said. The Transport Department is issuing green stickers free of cost and has advised vehicle owners to display them on their windshields.
